Antique Lord Erphila Chintz Ware, Sugar and Creamer.
A remarkable older set in the highly collectible Chintz from Erphila. Clean with light clean crazing throughout. Gilt trims are 85% intact. Colors are unfaded, this particular chintz is beautiful!
Dimensions: Sugar: 2.5" high and 3.75" wide. Creamer: 4.25" high and 4" out to handle.
HISTORY: Chintz designs became popular with English potters about 1928. It was manufactured on a large scale between the 1920s to early 1950s and appeared primarily on tea ware and dinner ware. Typical chintz ware is color lithographed transfer paper applied over clear glazed ware.
