Mark: "K", "Hand painted Japan", ( unknown ) K could possible stand for Kyoto. Tentative date: 1920-40 Source: http://gotheborg.com/marks/index_jap_marks.htm The lid is showing a tight hairline, it doesn't go right through to the other side and is completely unseen as the pot sits with lid on or off, check photos.
There are a few very tiny rough edges, or nibbles out of the inner rim. Other than this fault the pot shows clean crazing commensurate with age and no other chips or cracks.
