Sweetheart, Sophie chintz transferware from James Sadler. A rich yellow background and a transfer pattern of blue and pink florals! Oh. yum!
It is marked Sadler England. Pot is gently loved, no chips or cracks. Sadler mark on the bottom. A great wee teapot for the chintz collectors! Delishiously Chintzy!
No chips, cracks or crazing, shows some shelf wear as scuffs on the bottom where it sits. 100% gilt is intact. Measures: 9" long from handle to spout and 5 1/2" tall. This teapot is full of color with its yellow background and a floral pattern on top. 6 cup teapot.
"SOPHIE CHINTZ" gets its name from James Sadler's sister Sophie. This beautiful pattern dates back to the early 1900's.
Pattern was manufactured since 1950, and finally discontinued in 2002.
