**11 Antique Leather-Bound Volumes — Partial Set**
A wonderfully timeworn collection of eleven matching antique books, published at Oxford University Press in 1844.
These beautifully battered volumes feature richly decorated gilt leather spines, black title labels, warm brown leather covers, ornate gold-stamped college crests, and striking blue-and-burgundy marbled papers.
With their faded lettering, rubbed leather, crumbling spine ends, and authentic nineteenth-century character, these books look as though they have spent generations in a dusty Victorian library.
An impressive collection for an antique library, historic interior, collector's bookshelf, or decorative display.
**WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE**
- Eleven original antique books, Volumes I through XI
- Volume XII is missing; this is an incomplete twelve-volume set
- Published in Oxford, England, in 1844
- Approximately 9 inches tall × 5¾ inches wide per book
- Combined book weight approximately 21 lbs
**CONDITION — PLEASE READ CAREFULLY**
These books are approximately 182 years old and show substantial age-related wear.
The leather bindings exhibit rubbing, scratches, cracking, worn corners, deteriorating spine ends, and losses to some of the black title labels. Page edges show discoloration and mottling associated with age.
**Volumes I and VI have detached front covers.** The original covers are included with their respective books.
These are fragile antique volumes and should be handled gently. They are offered in their existing unrestored condition, with all their wonderful imperfections.
Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the condition description.
**A beautiful, historically interesting collection with genuine Victorian character — gloriously scruffy, richly decorated, and unmistakably antique.**

Returns
